It’s a sad day in AudioGals Land. Starting this past weekend, the Code Powers That Be decided our theme, Explicit by Themeforest, and our host HostGator, should have a major conflict. Now our pages no longer have menus, and our post and page editor no longer works to edit or compose posts in our theme.
If we switch to a different theme, we can post and the pages have all their menus, but the site looks awful without the text/color/font customizations – plus, no grades. If I use our backup on another server, Explicit theme post editor works just fine. So all I can imagine is that Explicit vs HostGator has commenced, with us the bloody victims. I have contacted tech support at both entities. But so far no resolution has ensued.
Our workaround right now is to put it in Maintenance Mode, switch to a generic Word Press Theme, post away, switch back and hope for the best. But your experience as a reader is impacted when trying to navigate without menus – and also, our grades are tied to our theme which we can’t access while editing. So – no grades, no menus. Insert pouty faces here.
We are Nevertheless Persisting and hope to have everything up and running smoothly soon. Your patience is genuinely appreciated – thank you for your support during our time of need.
