Right now I’m reading Inevitable Disclosures as well. I’ enjoying being able to revisit it. Interestingly, I don’t think Russo differentiates between Valor and Doyle’s voices as well in this installment. They sound almost identical. I think I’d be even more confused if I hadn’t read the book and pretty much know who’s saying what anyway. Even in scenes with both of them I’ve gotten lost a couple of times.
Earlier this week I listened to Radio Static by Nicky James, also narrated by Nick J. Russo, which I enjoyed. I relistened to Tough Guy by Rachel Reis, narrated by Tor Thom because I wanted a refresh on a couple of things. the narration isn’t my favorite. Thom has a nice voice, but an odd delivery, especially during dialog portions.
I really dislike Tor Thom – I could have cried when Heated Rivalry came out; I tried to listen but just couldn’t stand all the pauses in weird (wrong) places, the constant snatched breaths… maybe he’s improved over the years, but I honestly don’t care enough to find out!
(I’ll be jumping for joy if Harlequin ever decides to re-record it with Cooper North once the Tantor deal expires!)
