  1. Right now I’m listening to The Doctor by C.S. Poe, narrated by Declan Winters. It’s very entertaining! Not sure what’s up next. I need to keep better track of release dates so I can plan. :-) I know some good books are due out in the next 6 weeks, but I can’t remember which will be on audio and which I have to wait for. My brain does not like details.

    1. I know what you mean. I keep a list of books and audios I have for review and I add stuff I know is coming up to that to remind me to see if I can get review copies. Most of the books I read and listen to are for review so that serves as my ‘want to read’ in general.

Maybe some of the audios you’re interested in were in our August Picks :)

      1. Yes! Thanks for the reminder. And when I went to buy Off Balance I saw that ALL THREE of the Painted Bay books are out on audio! They released the same day! Only the second book is whispersynced for some reason, but I bought the first one with a credit and the second through whispersync. I’ll buy the third eventually!

Pack of Lies and Home Work aren’t available yet. I’m going to wait until I get a really good deal on Husband Material. It will eventually either be available through the library, or Chirpbooks will have it for $5 or less. I’ll just have to wait.

        1. The Hogan titles were supposed to have come out with a 2 week gap between each release, but Audible is a law unto itself, as we all know.

Pack of Lies is out the same day as the book, 30th Aug.

  2. Listened to Husband Material last week and started the first new Hogan title. All via Scribd. Joe Jameson is such a talented vocal actor: he really makes the London Calling series work. I can understand how some were unhappy with the ending of the book, but I thought that it was not totally out of character for the protagonists. Will be curious to see how it is reviewed here.

    1. I haven’t reviewed the audio version of the Hall, but I did review the ebook at All About Romance (here, if you’re interested); I agree that the ending was in character, although I did find certain aspects of the story to be a bit… preachy.

I’ve written a review of Off Balance which should run soon, and I plan to do the other books in the series as well.
