Currently Playing for the Gals, 19th June 2020

woman in armchair listening to an audiobook

So, our weekly Currently Playing is a chance for us Gals to get together for a quick natter about what we’re listening to, what’s working for us and what isn’t – but it’s also a chance for YOU to join in and tell us about your current (and past/future) listens. Tell us about what you’ve listened to lately – you can even write us a mini-review in the comments if you like! Have you listened to anything on this week’s list? What did you think?

  1. I’m currently doing a synced reread/relisten of Cat Sebastian’s ‘It Takes Two to Tumble’ and ‘A Gentleman Never Keeps Score’, ready for the release of ‘Two Rogues Make a Right’ next week. I seem to have been waiting for this book for ages!

I’ve read Breakaway and Hither, Page, but not heard them on audio. I enjoyed reading both of them a lot.
Get a Life, Chloe Brown was a DNF for me.

    1. I read both those (the Sebastians) when they came out and have listened to the first, but not the second. I’ve read the new one and really liked it, so I’m looking forward to the audio – Joel is bound to do a great job :)

  2. I am listening to My Once and Future Duke by Caroline Linden narrated by Beverly A. Crick. I am really enjoying it. I listened to the second book in the series, An Earl Like You, right before I started this one. So good. My first time listening to Beverly A. Crick and I am glad to add her to my preferred list of narrators!

    1. An Earl Like You was one of my favourite books last year. I really like Ms. Crick’s narrations, and I’m a big fan of Caroline Linden’s so I’m glad they’ve been paired up! I’ll be reviewing their latest collaboration, Once a Rogue here soon!
