In Case You Missed It…
We missed a release this month in our monthly picks! I just now finished listening to Mariana Zapata’s From Lukov With Love, narrated by Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton, released May 11. It’s a duet narration all from the heroine’s POV (that means Hamilton reads only the hero’s dialogue). Starting it was like putting on comfy slippers and having a cup of tea – I already like the combo of Zapata/Dalton and adding Hamilton in is a nice touch. Kaetrin is going to review the audiobook – I’ll just say, it won’t go in my Best of list but the ending and epilogue were redeeming in many ways. Stay tuned for the full review!
The eagle-eyed amongst you might have caught a giant typo this week – I accidentally ticked “Caz” instead of “Kaetrin” as the reviewer of Intermediate Thermodynamics! Once alerted, I quickly put things to right, it was Kaetrin who did the listen and wrote the review. Thanks, K!
Squeeee! We love it when authors and narrators amplify our message: we love romance audiobooks*! This week narrator Therese Plummer and author Robyn Carr both shared BJ’s review of The Summer That Made Us on Facebook! This is not the first time – we’ve had so much support from both the narrator and author community for our work over the years. Karen White (first narrator, now also author!) has been great about spreading the word and supporting the Gals from Day One. And in March, narrator Nicole Poole shared our Picks article listing her release of Dannika Dark’s Gaslight. (*in general, that is – there are some that don’t make the grade, and we are here to let you know what we really think!)
JIAM! Yes, June is Audiobook Month, and the Audio Publishers Association is planning a whole month of audiobook-related posts with giveaways! #Freestuff!! The winners will receive access to downloads of 8 audiobooks – you can enter at each of the blogs. I’ll try to get our contest up and running by June 4 although our special posts come later in the month. We love romance audiobooks! (no, I don’t think there are any romance audiobooks in the giveaway list though)
