Falling Headphones Over Heels – Listening to a delightful romance audio discussion!

Virginia Book FestivalLast week at the Virginia Festival of the Book, a very special romance audiobooks discussion took place – Falling Headphones Over Heels: Audiobooks. New York Times best-selling author Jeaniene Frost (Night Huntress, Night Huntress World, Night Prince series – see Twice Tempted giveaway/Tavia Gilbert interview), and audiobook narrators Elizabeth Wiley, Andi Arndt, and Anne Flosnik discussed how actors prepare for a project, the research involved, and what it’s like to read steamy scenes aloud. The discussion was opened to questions from the audience and then things really got rolling as the ladies let their – dare we say – passion for the craft, as well as their personalities, shine through.

Andi Arndt graciously offered to record the event for AudioGals so that in turn, it could be shared with a larger audience of appreciative romance listeners. As Brenda and I listened to the recording, we found ourselves laughing out loud as we madly emailed each other back and forth, asking “Did you just hear…?!” or exclaiming how much we loved what we were hearing.

We encourage you to stream or download a copy to your iPod or MP3 player to enjoy as you would any podcast but be careful where you listen or you’ll be on the receiving end of strange looks when you start laughing like we did!

  1. I was lucky enough to attend this panel and it was great fun. I was introduced to some new and wonderful narrators and fellow bloggers and came away with some new to me romance titles.

  2. Thank you so much Audio Gals for sharing this groundbreaking, insightful and fun interview with your readers. Your warm and generous support is so uplifting, and extremely helpful in spreading the good word about the fascinating world of Romance Audio. To me you are the “AudioRomance Authority.”
