I’m listening to Unbreak Me by Michelle Hazen. So far (about 20% in) it’s interesting, about an African American horse trainer who moves to Montana for a job and becomes attracted to the rancher’s daughter, who is not only white but she’s an assault victim. It is set in modern day, and right now he’s dealing with small town racial prejudice and she’s trying to figure out how to make the rest of her life work. The quality of the writing is top notch so far, and I’m enjoying the fact that it’s written in 3rd person. I’m ready for 3rd person no become popular in CRs again!
