I suspect it’s fair to say that those of us who enjoy historical romance audiobooks have been eagerly awaiting the release of a new title from the fabulous author/narrator team of Loretta Chase and Kate Reading. And now it’s November and here it is! Some of the gals are really excited about A Duke in Shining Armor (I’ve read it and it’s fabulous!) and it’s no surprise that it tops our list of monthly picks. In addition, we’ve got romantic suspense, romantic comedy, contemporaries and historical fiction on our list of the audiobooks we’re most looking forward to listening to in November, chosen in our usual way – because we like the author, the narrator, the synopsis… or just because of a hunch. Whatever our methods, we hope you’ll find something here to whet your appetite when you’re looking for something new to fire up your listening device of choice.
A Duke in Shining Armor by Loretta Chase

I read an advance copy of the book and loved it, so I can’t wait to experience it again in audio. Kate Reading is the perfect narrator for Loretta Chase’s particular brand of dry wit and deadpan humour, and this is sure to be a fabulous listen. – Caz

Someone to Wed by Mary Balogh
Narrated by Rosalyn Landor
I’ve been looking forward to this instalment in the Wescott series; Alexander, the reluctant earl of Riverdale receives a most unexpected proposal of marriage. I love a good marriage of convenience story, and with Rosalyn Landor at the helm, this is sure to be an excellent listen. – Caz
Someone to Wed is Alexander’s story, and I’m so excited for it. Ms. Balogh writes the best marriage of convenience stories, and I’m sure she’ll have crafted a fantastic HEA for Alexander. Plus, the incomparable Rosalyn Landor is back to narrate this third installment in the Westcott series. Things don’t get much better than this. – Shannon
Sweet Tea and Sympathy by Molly Harper
Narrated by Amanda Ronconi
I’ve found myself enjoying humorous romances more and more of late, and one of the best known authors in this sub-genre begins a new series, Southern Eclectic, this month. Amanda Ronconi is particularly experienced with delivering Ms. Harper’s brand of humor, so I’m adding this title to my November TBL! – BJ
One of those perfect author/narrator pairings. No vampires in this one but there is a mortuary involved and I expect good things. – Kaetrin
Wheels Up by Annabeth Albert
Narrated by Greg Boudreaux
I’ve been meaning to read or listen to the Out of Uniform series for a while and the synopsis – this is the story of a bi-sexual officer in the Navy SEALs who falls for a man who ends up under his command – for this one appealed to me. Greg Tremblay/Boudreaux is a fabulous narrator, so I’m happy to listen to him any chance I get! – Caz
Stud Finder by Lauren Blakely
Narrated by Jesse Metcalfe & Grace Grant
This is a novella in the 1001 Dark Nights series (the books aren’t at all connected) and looks like it will be a perfect palate cleanser. I’m expecting a fun, sexy and fast listen. – Kaetrin
A Winter Love Song by Rita Bradshaw
Narrated by Julia Barrie
A Winter Love Song looks like just the kind of historical novel I love. It’s set in the early part of the twentieth century and features a heroine who is willing to risk everything to achieve happiness. I’m not familiar with either the author or the narrator, but I’m willing to take a chance. – Shannon
Beguiled by Joanna Chambers
Narrated by Hamish McKinlay
I loved this series in print, and loved the audio of Provoked just as much. Hamish McKinlay is the perfect narrator for this series of extremely well-conceived, Edinburgh-set historical romances, and I’m eager to listen to the next chapter of David and Murdo’s story. – Caz
An Unsuitable Heir by K.J Charles (This came out in October after we’d published our Monthly Picks)
Narrated by Matthew Lloyd Davies
The eagerly awaited finale to this fabulous Victorian era trilogy which has seen our heroes on the trail of the missing heir to an earldom and facing mayhem and danger is sure not to disappoint. K.J. Charles is a must-read author, and Matthew Lloyd Davies is sure to deliver another excellent performance. – Caz
Think of England by K.J. Charles
Narrated by Tom Carter
This fabulous story of a straightforward former soldier whose search for truth and justice leads him to clash with his complete opposite – an effete, foreign poet – amid the hot-house atmosphere of an English country house party comes to audio at last. I’m not familiar with the narrator but K.J. Charles’ name on anything is guaranteed to make me take a second look. – Caz
Catalyst by Rachel Grant
Narrated by Greg Tremblay
OMGSquee! Another new release from a favourite author AND a favourite (and awesome!) narrator. The second book in Rachel Grant’s Flashpoint series, Catalyst promises to be another fantastic blend of high-stakes thriller and romance, and with Greg Tremblay narrating, it’s sure to be a winner in audio. – Caz
Illegal Contact by Santino Hassell
Narrated by Eric London and Alexander Cendese
I’ve heard such great things about this book. I even own it in print but I haven’t carved out the time to read it yet. So audio it is – my TBL is shorter and I’m keen to listen to more m/m romance. – Kaetrin
How to Marry a Marquis by Julia Quinn
Narrated by Rosalyn Landor
After the audio disaster that was Julia Quinn’s Blydon trilogy, I heaved a huge sigh of relief when I saw that someone had had the good sense to get the incomparable Rosalyn Landor to narrate this, another of the author’s earlier books. I have no idea what the story is about – the fact that it has Quinn and Landor on the cover is good enough for me! – Caz
Undercover Attraction by Katee Robert
Narrated by Charlotte North
Undercover Attraction is book five in Katee Robert’s O’Malley series, and listeners will finally get Aiden’s story. It promises to be as scandalous and delicious as the previous installments in the series, with a little bit of an extra twist. Aiden’s potential love interest is a former cop in search of some personal justice. Charlotte North returns to narrate this latest novel, and I couldn’t be happier. – Shannon
A Daring Arrangement by Joanna Shupe (Note: this was originally listed with an October release date and featured in last month’s picks. It’s now coming out in November).

Recently I’ve become a fan of historical novels set in the US in the Gilded Age, and the blurb for A Daring Arrangement caught my eye. Though I’m not familiar with this author or narrator, I’m adding this one to my new authors/narrators to explore TBL list. – BJ
