Introducing Inspirational Guest Reviewer Katherine

Welcome to Katherine – our newest guest reviewer! She not only has listened to audiobooks for years but comes by it honestly as, you see, she’s my daughter. :) Katherine has listened to a variety of audiobooks over the years but has settled firmly into the Inspirational Romance and Inspirational Fiction genres as her “go to” place for audio enjoyment. You’ll find a page dedicated to her under Gal Friends – Our Guest Reviewers – complete with her bio and a list of her favorite audio authors. Her first review, Tamera Alexander’s To Whisper Her Name is below. Now to introduce Katherine to you…

LovingKatherine is a new(ish) Mom, minister’s wife, Sunday School teacher, and homemaker who finds that listening to audiobooks fits much better into her busy schedule than actual reading. Although she was listening to audiobooks long before she was a mom, it seems to be the only way she can fit in her reading these days. Katherine is also the daughter of AudioGal Lea.

Her favorite genres are Inspirational Fiction, Inspirational Romance, and PG rated Young Adult fiction. Her favorite authors are Karen Kingsbury, Sara Evans, Sandra Byrd, Kristen Heitzmann, and her guilty pleasure, Ally Carter (guilty pleasure because Ally is a YA author, and Katherine is um, not young). When Katherine isn’t listening to audiobooks, she is busy chasing around her super-fast toddler son, and living her life to the fullest!

Our many thanks to Katherine for officially joining the Gals today!

Editor’s Note: She’s not that old!

  1. Welcome, Katherine! It’s great to have you here. I don’t generally read inspirationals, although I recently enjoyed a Deanna Gist book. Part of the problem is knowing how much “inspiration” is in a novel. ;-) I certainly don’t mind talks of God and faith, or prayer, etc. I look forward to reading your reviews and learning more about the genre! if I know what to expect in a book I’m much more likely to give it a try.

  2. Thanks Carrie! I love Inspirational Fiction because I do love to hear about prayer and faith in God, but I love them mainly because they are clean. I have definitely read some that were much more inspirational than others, and while that doesn’t bother me, I know there are people who wish they wouldn’t be so preachy. :) I like books that aren’t faith based as well and have read (and more lately listened to) many of them, just like ’em clean. :) I just flat love to read! And I like Romance because I like it when my heart goes pitter-patter. Haha! :)

Thanks Kaetrin and Karen. I am glad to be here! I love to listen to audio books, so why not take some time to review them? :)
