  1. Yes, yes. But what did they ORDER?
Lucky order-taker who got to hear all those fabulous voices.
I want to hear sexy Simon order “pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream.” And sultry Xe order “Eggs benedict, make the whites hard and the yolks liquid.” And exquisite Anne Flosnick order “Oh, luv, I can only face a strong Assam this morning. White, please.”

    1. …when *we* asked for separate checks, that is!

Being highly suggestible, I ordered what the person next to me (Karen White) was having, a garden omelette; but in a weak nod to cholesterol control, I had it made with only one yolk. And a cup of Devonshire English Breakfast with honey, which at least sounds more authentically British than Simon’s tea but is no doubt processed right here in the good ol’ USA…

  2. So great to meet Lea and breakfast with narrator friends as well as blogger Gail (Every Day I Write the Book) and Cassandra and Kit from Book Riot.
    I had a Garden Omelet.

  3. This was such fun! We all had a lovely relaxing breakfast, with flowing conversation, after an info packed day at APAC, and it was good times with old and new friends.!
    I had luscious blueberry pancakes!
I sat with Lea Hensley to one side and Gayle Weiswassen to the other, in the delectable company of Karen White, Xe Sands, Simon Vance, Amy Rubinate, Patrick Lawlor, Karen White, Robert Fass and Lauren Fontang.
Good times and memories to treasure!

  4. Well, I had old fashioned eggs and bacon but hardly ate a bite. Too many other things going on around me to take the time to eat! Wonderful time – thanks to Xe and Karen for arranging this!

  5. The California Omelette – a taste of home :) … Oh, and tea – a taste of my original home (sort of, it was Liptons)

  6. Poached eggs and english muffin for moi! It was so a delightful meeting. Thanks so much to Karen for the invite. You all made such fabulous company!

  7. I had a waffle! My favorite line from a movie (Tin Cup): “I’m a Waffle House kind of girl…” It was so fun to hang out with old friends and meet new ones. Enjoyed my surprise and delight at discovering I was actually hanging out with *THE* Lea, though she was introduced by a different name! Wish we’d had a longer time to talk…Thanks so much Karen and XE for including me!

    1. Wish we had more time too! Kept intending to and then it was all over! I’ll be back next year – hope to see you then.
