Introducing AudioGals Reviewer Jessica!

JessicaWelcome to our newest reviewer – Jessica! I’m certain she will add even more variety to our featured reviews each month with her love of urban fantasy and historical romance. You’ll find an AudioGals page dedicated to her under Gal Friends – Our Reviewers – complete with her bio and a few of her favorite romance audiobooks. If you find her listening tastes match your own, you’ll want to keep your eye on her Reviews by Reviewer page. Under Reviews on the menu bar, you will find Reviews by Reviewer which expands to another page for each of our individual reviewers. We’re running her first review today – Jeaniene Frost’s Home for the Holidays narrated by Tavia Gilbert.

And now for a more thorough introduction…

Jessica was hooked on novels with happily-ever-afters when she found a copy of Pride and Prejudice on her older sister’s bookshelf. The Regency time period became a favorite and she began devouring historical romance novels, dog-earring the “good parts” to share with her friends during lunch breaks at school. While romance novels weren’t the only books on her shelf, they were her favorite.

Jessica majored in English in college, in part because she loved reading but also because she loved writing about books. Her English course requirements took up much of Jessica’s reading hours and there wasn’t much time for romance novels. Following graduation, she got back into her first love, historical romance, but also expanded into paranormal and now occasionally adds a contemporary romance to her reading list.

Jessica began investing in audiobooks when she moved to Los Angeles and spent three-four hours in the car each day. Audiobooks proved therapeutic and made the long commutes almost enjoyable. AudioGals allows Jessica to get the most out of her audiobook dollar and has introduced her to much loved authors and narrators. Favorites are Connie Brockway (insert desperate plea for more of Brockway’s novels to be published as audiobooks), Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress novels narrated by Tavia Gilbert, and recently Pamela Clare paired with the talented Kaleo Griffith.  Jessica works for a nonprofit and has been a life-long advocate for the disenfranchised and those in need.
