Announcing Our Improved Search Functions

Through_MagnifyingglassAbout five weeks ago, I needed to make heavy use of our AudioGals search function as I wrote the article that accompanied our AudioGals Guide to Romance Audio: The Classics. Exasperated, I discovered that our search capacity was sorely lacking in functionality. I talked with our backroom expert, Brenda, and found she shared in my frustration. Being the Tech Gal she is, she immediately started looking for additional search functions. She informed me that Melinda had provided us with a search by author ability several months earlier (thank you Melinda) and started building from there, providing us with even more ways to search the site. Brenda has put in endless hours over the past five weeks, and I can now report that searching for audiobooks, narrators, authors, interview, articles, and even more is now a very simple process. If you don’t want to search one way, there’s another way to tackle it. Search for an audiobook by title, author, narrator, reviewer, genre, or even month. You no longer have to rely on a general search box (although we still have one).

In the right hand column, you’ll find:

Reviews by Narrator

Reviews by Author (updated)

Reviews by Genre

All Recent Reviews

All Articles by the Gals

Bits of Audiobook News

General Search Box – by keyword or phrase

Tag Cloud – click on any tag for a search

In our Navigation Bar, you’ll find:

Under Reviews:

Reviews by Title – this replaces our former Full Reviews list which required manual input and therefore was often out of date.

Reviews by Reviewer – another new search ability. Our reviewer’s titles will no longer be part of their Gal Friends Fellow Reviewer page although a link will lead readers to a full list of their reviews.

At the bottom of the page, you’ll find:

AudioGals Archives – Search by month – found at the bottom of any page.

My deepest thanks to Brenda for all her work on not only maintaining our site from day to day but turning our search functions into some of the best around.

We hope you will take advantage of our new search functions. And find your way through more than 170 reviews plus dozens of interviews, articles, monthly picks, Gal Techs, and much more!
